Summary of Podcast:
(00:32) I’m back from an unexpected whirlwind. Earlier this week, My mother called me at 3:14 PM, which is the time that I was born 45 years ago. My father and she have called me ever since I can remember.
(1:37) That day 'life happened,' and I experienced both the ebb and the flow. I felt so much love and was honored by all of the kind birthday sentiments I received, and then that afternoon my heart became heavy as I received notice that my father had a stroke.
(3:21) And it got me thinking and I’m going to be daring and speak for us all, because we are all human—we forget to pause and wholeheartedly feel, love, and share the depth of this life, during the everyday grind. Why does it take these moments, these difficulties to seemingly knock us off our feet to be reminded of these things?
(4:15) And so over the next few episodes of this podcast, I am going to share 10 practices that I personally live by, which has caused me to learn how to live each day with more intention.
(6:45) Turning off autopilot has been such an important process in my life. We all know that we can't change what happens in our future, but if we don’t turn off autopilot, we have lost our ability to properly navigate our ‘now’.
(9:16) As I continue to share these 10 practices with you over the next few episodes, you’ll begin to understand that each lead to a process, that unveils more about who you are and will help you sort out these ‘emotions’ and questions. It’s why the practice of living intentionally is so important to me.
